Oklahoma Students’ Art Work Exhibited at 101

Tour de Quartz

All of the disciplines which are included in the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute – acting, chorus, creative writing, dance, drawing & painting, film & video, orchestra, and photography.

The Oklahoma Center for the Humanities is excited to host the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute’s Tour de Quartz exhibit this coming January and February. The exhibit is a collection of drawing & painting and photography work by students, aged 15-19, across the state of Oklahoma. Each student artist is represented by one piece of artwork in Tour de Quartz, which exhibits at museums, libraries, and art galleries across the state.

The Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute (OSAI) is an intensive 2-week residential academy that provides professional training to artistically advanced Oklahoma High School Students, including graduating seniors, in the visual, literary, and performing arts. OSAI not only offers training in multiple disciplines, but its faculty also boasts winners of the Pulitzer Prize and the Academy, Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Awards.

The Oklahoma Arts Institute at Quartz Mountain is a private, non-profit organization with a mission to provide exceptional multidisciplinary arts experiences that develop individual talent and inspire a lifelong passion for the arts. Since 1977, the Oklahoma Arts Institute has recruited nationally renowned artists to teach a fine arts program for artistically advanced Oklahoma youth and a series of continuing education workshops for adults.
