Spotlight: TU Student Showcase is showing now at the north gallery of 101 E Archer.
TU’s School of Art, Design, and Art History curated the exhibition, which features 26 student artists and 48 unique works spanning various art media–painting, photography, etchings, prints, graphic design, collage. Each focuses on various aspects of artistic and social structures, identity, and place.
One painting featured in the exhibition, Claire Wintle’s Waste (see left), also adorns the cover of this year’s issue of literary & fine arts journal, Stylus. Other works included in Stylus are on display at 101 E Archer, too, like August Nielsen’s The Devotee Ceremony and Sara Moore’s Eden’s Serpent.
Each work in Spotlight was created during the 2022-2023 academic year and displays the talents and dedication of TU’s flourishing arts community. The exhibition will be up through August 26.
