“Harmony of Duality: A Two-Spirit Journey” explores Indigenous identities and expressions through the lens of Two-Spirit individuals. The exhibition celebrates and honors the rich diversity of gender, sexuality, and cultural heritage within Indigenous communities. In a vibrant celebration of Two-Spirit identity and creativity, Twisted Arts proudly shares that they’ve been awarded a generous $9,000 grant from Oklahoma Humanities. This significant contribution is set to enhance the enriching experience of the second annual 2-Spirit Fest, a festival meticulously crafted to spotlight the creative and intellectual brilliance of Two-Spirit Indigenous artists, leaders, and elders.

Scheduled to unfold in a series of engaging events across esteemed venues—including the First American Museum in Oklahoma City on April 18, 2024, the Oklahoma Center for Humanities in Tulsa on April 19, 2024, and Wompa on April 20, 2024—this festival is a beacon of empowerment and unity.   2-Spirit Fest emerges as a three-day cultural extravaganza, welcoming all to immerse themselves in a kaleidoscope of artistic endeavors that echo the vibrant traditions of Two-Spirit communities.

The festival promises an atmosphere brimming with positive energy and a creative spirit, offering an array of musical performances that blend local and global talents, enthralling video installations that tell profound stories, spirited drumming and dancing that pulsate with the heartbeat of the earth, a bustling artist market, and thought-provoking panel discussions. It’s an inspirational haven designed to foster a strong, supportive community for Two-Spirit individuals, celebrating their unique contributions to the tapestry of art and culture.
