Tulsa’s annual Bloomsday celebration is getting a makeover in 2018. Rather than an evening pub crawl, we will be celebrating James Joyce this year with an Irish brunch in the Brady Arts District.
The event will take place in the alleyway beside (and behind) Prairie Brewpub. Guests can enjoy free nibbles from Prairie Brewpub, The Tavern, and Antoinette’s Bakery. There will also be free Guinness (while supplies last!). Come hear live music from local Irish band Cairde na Gael, as well as dramatic readings by actors from Theatre Tulsa.
A few lucky winners will receive copies of Joyce’s (in)famous novel Ulysses courtesy of Magic City Books and free copies of Tulsa’s own premiere Joyce journal, the James Joyce Quarterly.
To top it all off, we will celebrate the official unveiling of the new Bloomsday mural in the cultural corridor behind The Tavern. Join us in commemorating the life and work of James Joyce!
