Third Annual Arts and Humanities Festival

This year, the annual TU Arts and Humanities Festival will run in conjunction with Preview TU! This means we can show off the amazing work being done on our campus to incoming freshmen and their families. Events run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Everything is free and open to the public as well as to TU students, faculty and staff. Here’s the schedule:

10:15-10:45

  • Student Films in Tyrrell Hall
  • Opera Theatre Performance in Lorton Performance Center

11:00-11:30

  • Poetry and Fiction Readings Sponsored by Nimrod in McFarlin Library
  • Student Films in Tyrrell Hall
  • Piano Performance in Lorton Performance Center

11:00-2:00  Food Trucks on the Green in front of McFarlin Library

11:30-12:30  Custom Poems Written On the Spot by TU Poets near the Food Trucks

1:15-1:45

  • World Poetry Readings in Multiple Languages in McFarlin Library
  • Wind Ensemble Performance in Lorton Performance Center

2:00-2:30

  • Short Theatre Performances in Tyrrell Hall
  • Jazz Combo in Lorton Performance Center

All Day

  • Special Art Exhibitions in Lorton Performance Center and Hogue Gallery
  • Print Making on the Lawn at Phillips Hall (Stop by to get a free bag!)
  • Special Display of Faculty Books in McFarlin Library
